"My academic preparation at Rush University has led me on a path of clinical excellence filled with drive and aspiration. Since attaining my degree at Rush, I have assumed several leadership positions, learned to challenge the status quo for the benefit of the patient, continue to advocate for nursing excellence, and serve as a resource as an education consultant to others in our profession. Rush provided me with a sense of perseverance and confidence along with a high level of critical thinking skills. Those professional attributes are what separate Rush from other academic institutions. I am proud to be a RUSH nurse."

"Rush Nursing has always been innovative and visionary. Earning my baccalaureate and master's in nursing in the 1980's at Rush taught me the value of an expert advanced practice "Clinical Teacher" long before it became the norm around the country. I also remember Dean Christman saying over and over that someday the entry level into nursing will be the clinical doctorate. He truly had insight into our profession's future since the Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree will shortly be the entry level into advanced nursing practice."
