There are a variety of funds for the programs, students and faculty of the Nurses Alumni Association and Rush College of Nursing. These funds depend on gifts from generous alumni in order to continue supporting the vital activities of the college and Nurses Alumni Association. NAA Alumni FundThe Alumni fund provides necessary support for alumni events and activities and for student events sponsored by the alumni association.
Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke's Nurses Alumni Association Student Assistance Fund
Contributions to the Student Assistance Fund are distributed directly to students to assist them in defraying the costs of their nursing education.
Edith D. Payne Nursing Archives Fund
Edith Payne was appointed Director of Nursing Education at St. Luke’s Hospital in 1953 and four years later effected the merger of the St. Luke’s and Presbyterian Hospital schools of nursing. In honor of her many contributions to this rich nursing heritage, this fund supporting the archives of the Nurses Alumni Association and the St. Luke’s, Presbyterian and Presbyterian-St. Luke’s schools of nursing was named in her honor.
Andreoli Endowed Scholarship FundContributions to Rush’s endowment are held in perpetuity. Rush invests the initial gift and spends only a portion of the average annual investment return. The remaining income is reinvested with the principal as protection against the eroding effects of inflation.

A gift to the Andreoli Endowed Scholarship Fund, named for the second dean of Rush College of Nursing Kathleen Gainor Andreoli, DNSc, RN, FAAN (pictured left), not only supports students today, it also allows the donor to support future Rush students. Establishing a named endowed scholarship is an excellent way to honor a family member, a beloved teacher or yourself. |
